i think i read somethin about that in the news maybe a couple yrs ago? that they were thinking of getting rid of the poor creatures to put up condos and such. arent they trying to do that near ft myers? or where you're at? yea i agree, its too bad that ppl just cant leave things be for once and stop trying to turn forests, beaches and islands into futurama. i guess thats the price we pay for living in the 4th most populated state in the nation.

the iguanas are not native to florida. they were brought here a while back and when people couldn't take care of them anymore, they let them go wild. sort of like the giant snakes in the everglades. So really it is population control...

Why do we need to control their population? Even if they're not native to Florida they seem to be thriving here. Tourists are not native to Florida and still, for some fucked up reason, we let them stay and don't start killing them off though they destroy the land they inhabit.
