Did some eventful event happen this weekend? This ship looks like the streets of Oxford after a particularly lively Boat Race Night.

((OOC: Guess who misplaced his communicator for a while. Also, LJ has been mostly failing utterly to give me notifs for the whole last week, so if I've dropped tags with Bertie here or Narvin, let me know and I'll ( Read more... )

[Ah, Bertie.] Nothing you ought to concern yourself with. Rather dreary for the mess.

I missed no opportunities to witness the traditional game of policeman's helmet stealing, then? The ship's passengers didn't decide to hold a grand fete and leave this poor Wooster out in the cold?

I'm afraid the only police here don't have helmets. And there were certainly no fetes.

[Una doesn't quite know whether to laugh or cry.]

Be grateful it's passed you by, Mr Wooster.

Please, call me Bertie. All my friends do, except when they call me You Nincompoop. [pause] Not that I am one, mind you, but they do sometimes call me that.

[All right, that's lifting her spirits some, whether he intends to or not.]

Well, Bertie, that strikes me as rather unkind of them. [Even if you did apparently sleepwalk through a mass mind-control incident. God and fools and children and all that, perhaps.]

It was rather a disaster. How could you miss that? Did you, perhaps, sleep through it?

I did oversleep a tad without Jeeves here to wake me with tea and breakfast. I did not, however, sleep for the whole weekend, no, I was curled up with a few improving books [he found Stephen King novels in the library and spent the weekend scaring himself with literature while MIND CONTROL TAKE OVER was happening outside his door] and a glass or two of whisky and s.

[a Wooster? in my Barge?]

It was...interesting. Like everyone else has said, you're better off not worrying about it.

Not one of the better sorts of interesting then?

Really not, I'm afraid.

Then he shakes his head and it goes off again.]

Hmm, tag should be there? (Unless I put it in the wrong place, which is entirely possible.) helpmejeeves March 21 2011, 22:15:21 UTC
[Bertie sees long white hair and immediately thinks, "Warning: Aunt." Arthas has Bertie scared...for all the wrong reasons.]
