I sent a response to outsidepride.com condemning Mr. Hake's hateful misuse of company data.

I also commented to Stoney with the text of what I sent.

This email she got just bothers me for sooooo many different reasons that I'm even considering sending my family an email version of my post (only sister knows me as "HellZiggy")

Just remember, there's a couple family members in particular who'd probably agree with the guy.

Hee! Great posting. You've reminded me of the fun in store for me this fall, when my Religion in America class rolls back around.

Even on the final exam, after 16 weeks of me, some people still define Deists as Atheists on the final... :)

That class actually sounds kind of fun!

In case you couldn't tell, the "In God We Trust" and "Christian nation" are kind of hot button issues for me!

Me, too! It actually is a fun class, unless you get a couple of fundies in there who cannot step back and see religion as a social construct. We'll see, we'll see!

WTF? Cold Case is definitely one of the shows I watch after the children go to bed. It's scary!

What an ass. People like that always think our country was founded on Christianity. They're annoying. I wrote a paper about it that I like quite a lot: http://raven-arani.livejournal.com/69506.html There's some good info in there showing just how wrong they are. One of my favorites is, "However, nowhere does this point come across as clearly as it does in the Treaty of Tripoli negotiated under President George Washington. This treaty, signed in 1797, was an accord between the Muslim area of north Africa and the United States. The document was approved by the senate and declares, “[T]he Government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion” (qtd. in Boston 224). "
