"Forget about cocaine and heroin. All you need is NyQuil and Sudafed."

Ok, so I've got this cold. Y'all know that by now. While picking up a prescription for hellbob yesterday I remembered to pick up some NyQuil and DayQuil cough syrup, as we were out of both.

As i was looking at the NyQuil bottles I noticed that they had this on the label:

Lordy. More legislation that goes fuzzy nutso.... I was griping about it because I could no longer buy 96 tablets of sudafed at a time (one package...this was a normal size!). Now I can only get 24-tablet packs. My husband and I are prone to sinus issues throughout the winter, and it has only gotten worse with our eldest child being in school. Let's see...two tabs a dose, four doses a day...that's a day and a half for the two of us. How are families with teenagers managing flu season?

I hadn't heard about the NyQuil, though. That's really lame. :(

Some of this isn't legislation, it's company policy. Like Target for example: it's company policy to put the stuff behind the counter.

But Minnesota (and a lot of other states, I guess) put all pseudoephedrine items under tight control. Now they have to be behind the counter, limited as to how much you can buy, and you have to fill out their lovely little form to be allowed to purchase it.

Yeah but target is doing something different. Not sure exactly what they did differently, but it was different. I believe they started their new guidelines before any law come into effect.

But hey, it could be worse. We could live in, i think it was oregon, and have to go to the doctor first before getting drugs like Nyquil, sutafed, etc. I believe you need a perscription in that state.

I've edited my original post to include the MN legislation.

For what it's worth, akdar and I have never smoked pot either, not even once. And he had easy access to it!

That sucks that Nyquil doesn't work anymore. I should check to see if the stuff I bought has PSE. If it doesn't, then why did they need my birthdate when I bought it???

Yeah, Target's rules went into effect last winter. Noticed when I was hunting for drugs, that and I worked there and heard about it.
