The ladies are coming!
I hosted playgroup today and we had a full house. The ladies are all really nice, but it is hard for me to identify with the other moms. They are all women who have their entire identity wrapped up in their kids. They don't have anything to talk about except child related issues, etc ( Read more... ) -
A little free time
D is over at the grandparents. Yay! He has been a total crabass for the past several days. I already miss him though. Grandparents definately have their uses. B is going to Austin to interview for a position at Sematech. I hope he gets it. I have to be really careful what I say around him since he suspects me of trying to convince him to go there. You would think my life would be more interesting
I have been sick for 3 days now and so has D. E is sick as well and is staying in bed. There is half a bottle of wine sitting on the kitchen counter, but I am too depressed to drink it. I took some nighttime cold medicine and will read for a while before I go to sleep ( Read more... ) -

Busy busy week this week. Filled with playdates, classes, etc. I hope that D will be a very well rounded person and not an overstimulated bundle of nerves from our busy schedule. Halloween is Grinch Night
Hooray! Fun Halloween. I took D. to Gymboree and we had a party there and all the little kids were dressed up. It was so cute! After Ds nap, we went trick or treating at the mall. Having to trick or treet at the mall is a little lame, but nobody goes around the neighborhoods up here. It is a far cry from my own memories. Northeasterners don't trust ( Read more... ) -
D is a pain in the ass.
The most horrible thing happened over the weekend! My sweet, beautiful, perfect baby developed a mind of his own. Boo Hoo! He has decided that he does NOT want to go to bed at night and is also complaining about anything and everything. I can't figure it out. Teething Trauma
Poor D. is in a lot of pain. He has been teething on and off for over a month now, but he is either getting a molar or has several teeth coming in all at once. I feel so sorry for him. He won't even take a bottle. He did eat Cherios though, which is wierd ( Read more... ) -
It's the Jewish New Year and I am a potato pancake.
Once again the Jewish new year is upon us. I actually quite like Rosh Hoshannah since it is really just a short service then a festive dinner with family. It is kind of like Thanksgiving. However, I can't stand Yom Kippur. Naturally it is the most important holiday of the year. You have to fast for 24 hours! No food. No water. No bathing. No sex. ( Read more... ) -
I am home.
I got laid off two days ago. Waaa. I was planning on leaving work at the end of the year anyway, but this hastened the process. At least I get to collect lovely, beautiful unemployment. I will pursue part time work, but am not really hopeful at this point ( Read more... ) -
Blah
I went to Maine over the weekend and had a pretty good time. B, D and I stayed in a cute cabin and had (almost) all the comforts of home. D was so well behaved. Much better than his grandmother. It was nice to have the whole family together for a trip. B is leaving tomorrow evening for a job interview on Friday at TI. I kind of hope he gets an ( Read more... )
