[Night 8] Central Tower

[From here]Traitors Wing was to the right of Cowards, right? That was what Yuuri had told her, anyway. And that was where green-clad prisoners seemed to be coming out of, at least from what Sae could make out in the dim light of the tower. She kept her hand along the wall as she moved toward the wing entrance, avoiding the pits as carefully as she ( Read more... )

Once outside, Armand paused long enough to take a deep breath of the less damp air. Then he turned in a circle as he labeled the wings in his head. There. That one. Traitors.

Yuuri had taken a little more care going down the staircase. His head was still a little dizzy, but he'd managed to make it down all the way without tripping over his own feet - something the young Maou was thankful for.

Glancing over his shoulder to make sure that everyone was alright, Yuuri smiled happily at them before running around the pits to the northern door.

{ From here.}

Sohma moved out of the Coward's wing and into the central area, looking around for anything dangerous. He didn't want Tassadar to baby him--he was okay! He had to be... if he really was sick, there wouldn't be time for him to rest and recover. The guards would shove him under a cold shower the next morning, feed him a cold meal, then tell him to get to work. Something told Sohma that they wouldn't be at all sympathetic to his illness.

"When you mentioned 'large striped cat'," Sohma said, turning to Hohenheim with a curious smile on his face. "Did you mean 'tiger'?"

Hohenheim followed after Sohma's overly energetic jog to the stairs and down them. He moved at a much more conservative pace as he moved down the only slightly familiar halls and into the large main hallway. He had been here a few times in passing between the shifts, and it really didn't appear any different in the dark either.

"I do. I was curious if the name you spoke of had to do with such a wonderful animal," he murmured. "A rare sight indeed."

Tassadar followed behind the pair quietly. While he kept his attention fixated on the pair in front of him, the Protoss warrior was keeping his main focus on their surroundings. The prisoners out tonight didn't appear as rumbustious as they had the previous night. That was fortunate for them, but he wasn't about to let his guard down because of it.

"I have a few at my palace," Sohma said, wondering why they'd be such a rare sight. He'd been told that seeing a tiger outside of the palace wasn't a good thing--Kali help you if you panicked and ran, because the animal would give chase and maul you.

"But I like the white one the best," Sohma confessed, giving an embarrassed smile. "She has such beautiful blue eyes and--"

The prince looked up at Tassadar, who seemed to be keeping an eye out for trouble. Right, they couldn't linger here very long. They had exploring to do.

"Which way should we go?" Sohma asked, looking around as well.

[Darkly stalking in from here]

There were other prisoners milling about the area, but Sephiroth paid them no mind as he stopped just outside of the killer's wing door. Slipping his eyes shut, he focused on the connection within him.

He could almost taste Cloud's anger. It festered within the very depths of his soul and allowed for Sephiroth to search through the chaos in order to find that which was his. Cloud appeared relatively close, but that couldn't be possible ( ... )

[from here]Rin paused outside the Perverts wing to take in the central area. Tassadar was an easy target to pick out and she thought he might make for a good scouting partner, but he was already busy. She'd just have to go it alone it seemed ( ... )

His head tilted to one side as his connection to Cloud seemed to almost grow hazy. The anger and fear he felt began fading along with it, and it caused the mako within his eyes to flare in extreme displeasure. If they so much as attempted to slay that which was his, he wouldn't stop until every last one of them was dead.

Sephiroth sensed the movement all around him, but they weren't a threat and so were irrelevant to the obsessive man. It wasn't until he heard the words addressed to him that Sephiroth's cat-like gaze shot up to regard a female. There was a flicker of remembrance within his mind, and it was only due to that that Sephiroth didn't move to attack.

"They will regret doing such actions," His voice was smooth, but there was a definite tone of death interweaving the words.

Rin didn't really believe that the Warden and his men cared one bit what Sephiroth would do to make them 'regret' their actions, but she was certain the silver-haired man would at least try. It would be at least somewhat entertaining to watch.

"I don't doubt that," she replied, clearly not put off by the man's tone. "Do you intend on seeking him out or will you wait for them to be done with him?"

[Running back in from here]

He knew he'd overtaxed his maryoku levels. Once inside the door, the Maou's proud form stumbled down exhausted to one knee. He shook his head, unwilling yet to succumb to the darkness waiting to devour him until he was certain of Yuuri's companions safety. Only then would he allow himself to rest.

The gouts of water surprised Armand, but he kept running. He thought that Sae deserved at least that much consideration. When they crossed back into the central courtyard, he let go the girl's hand.

"Get inside," he urged her. "Back to your cell if you must." He thought that horse may still be just behind them. He didn't know if it would be willing or able to pursue them this far. He still considered this part of the prison outside.

Then the black-haired form collapsed to his knee, and Armand hurried to his side, trying to draw him upright with a grip on his arm. "You must get to safety, too," he said, still almost too breathless to speak.

Following quickly, the mare didn't even pause to consider the space that she would be entering. Her blood lust was running high, and her injuries kept the sensor in her brain hollering about acquiring fresh meat. It was just fortunate that the door was left completely ajar for her to pinpoint the locations even in the darkness of the Central Tower.

Bursting in the door, she skidded to a halt and screeched a bloody neigh before locating all three targets with either her laser sight or her normal eye. Snorting loudly, she went for the closer target, stomping her front hooves loudly into floor as she closed the distance on fallen Yuuri and Armand. She snapped out her teeth at the nearest sack of flesh, trying to bite into the frenchman.

"I have failed," He muttered more to himself rather than to Armand as the Frenchman appeared at his side. There was no strength left in his limbs, and he felt his hold over the body beginning to waver dangerously. The Maou could sense the incoming horse, but there was so little maryoku left in his body.

Cat-like eyes rolled back into the Maou's head. The blue aura disappeared and Yuuri's younger-more innocent appearance returned just as he blacked out and became a dead weight in Armand's hold.
