[Night 13] North Wall

Jan 03, 2010 13:29

[From Here]Heading across the opened area around the Infirmary and the Crematorium, Cloud could easily see the cages on the North Wall in the silence of the night. They hung shadowed and untouched, just dangling in a show of how powerless they really were while in this place. He hated going to the North Wall, but this was for Yuuri and not himself ( Read more... )

Sephiroth had heard what Cloud had sent, but he didn't feel the need to reply. The position he had taken had only been for his benefit and not for anyone else, and he hardly saw the need to be thanked for such things.

Following along behind the group, Sephiroth's gaze shifted from the two useless parasites and the Cetra and over to Cloud before taking note of their surroundings. There didn't appear to be any dangers yet, but the ex-General had learnt well enough that looks were always deceiving here.

His pace began to slow to an almost stop when the group's focus shifted over to the task for the night. He would have no part in taking down any of the cages.

"Yes," 11-12 said politely in answer to Yuuri's question about this being his first night. He gave the boy a tentative smile, wondering how someone so young had ended up in here. He was young enough himself at twenty, but he thought Yuuri looked even younger.

Then he saw where they had stopped and a lot of the colour drained out of his face. He looked a little ill and turned his face away from the awful sight.

Aerith frowned at 11-12's reaction to the area of the Northern Wall. She should have expected such a thing - he'd only just arrived here and likely hadn't experienced too much of the prison''s horrors quite yet.

"It's okay," she said, trying to reassure the young blonde. "Just don't watch, okay? We're just going to get Yuuri's friend down so we can bury him." As she spoke, she looked over at the Maou, hoping he wouldn't be too emotional. Loud noises would attract the monsters, and if they could do this task without encountering one, that would be ideal.

He could only imagine how horrible it would be to spend your first night here at the prisoner. Sure, he'd once been in the same situation, but it had been so long ago that Yuuri had forgotten. "Aa, we're here for you." Yuuri said comfortingly before his attention was stolen by Cloud.

"Only one cage," Yuuri muttered more to himself as he glanced over at all the other bodies hanging there in the cages. It felt so wrong to just leave them up there, and he wondered if there was anything that they could do. Yuuri's thoughts, however, faded away as he caught sight of the one that they'd been searching for.

"...Wolfram..." His voice was soft as he broke away from the others and moved on over towards the cage. Yuuri could feel the stinging at the corner of his eyes before he glanced over to Cloud, "We've got to get him down from there."
