If you ever want to test your love for an object, list it for sale in craiglist with some photos and then have some folks over for in person viewings - you will become very protective of your item's fragile (imaginary) feelings.

Look, I know it's a beautiful day -- but if you've got PBS and a Tivo - you might want to grab as many episodes of the PBS series (3 eps in total) "The Appalachians." Of the many many documentaries made, this is one of the most benevolent and comprehensive. They really "get" how the place became what it is, and put it together with an excellent ( Read more... )
