 I made Truffle Spinach and Cheese ravioli for dinner tonight and they turned out yummy. I didn't feel like making my own dough so I used potsticker wrappers and sealed them with an egg wash after combining some 8 oz ricotta cheese, 1/2 lb.  spinach, a pinch of salt, 1/8 tsp of fresh cracked pepper, 1 Tbsp of Black truffle puree, and 1/2 cup of ( Read more... )

It must be. He does it all the time and not just to me but my mom, brother and other relatives as well. It's like the edit button in his mind didn't kick him before he said it.

I think I was too confused to answer him at first. It's almost like my brain cannot figure out if I should be insulted or touched at the same moment, since the insult came first and the compliment right after. >.>'

Anything happen like that with your dad at Thanksgiving?

Of course!! My Dad's on a diet- and yet I got asked to bring dessert! So I made a dark chocolate mint cake- and I got the 'that looks delicious, but I'm not eating any! Well... maybe a little piece... but later...' *sigh*

I bet it was really yummy too. Must be a dad thing, they don't want to compliment nicely since it wouldn't be manly man, so they insult/compliment and find faults where they can to make themselves feel better. *sigh* We still love them though because they are still our dads, but some days... I want to smack him.
