I recently saw a post in...A_B I think it was? and people were commenting on how you're not obligated to comment/fave commissions or trades and while yeah, you're not obligated to do it, I don't see why one wouldn't. It provides so many benefits.

It connects the pic to your words/icon/username so people might click to see other renditions of your character, like how YOU, the creator draw them.

When you fave a work and it's on random, there's more of a chance to expose people to the piece of work.

"Hey, this person pays for art, maybe if I give them gift art they'll commission me sometime."

It shows you appreciate the hard work that the artist you paid work for.

I make it a point to ALWAYS promote the artist I've commissioned. I post them in Artist Recommend, in the rec thread on AB, my Tumblr, LJ, Blog, DevArt.

Show a bit of appreciation, don't just fling money, get a product, then forget about it. It's give and take.
