On Southwest Airlines

In the last week, I flew to Davis, CA and Troy, NY. In case you're curious, that's about 8,000 miles of flying. No wonder I'm so tired. It was odd though. I didn't notice any differences from being in different time zones. Well, it's considered a stop, but not a connection technically. The FAA says they only need to notify you that there is a stop-over along the way, but it does not count as a connection because it retains the same flight number, just a difference sequence. WN is famous for this, which allows them to offer multiple services on the same route with the same plane, and seemlessly book travel like that while the majors would make a passenger have a connection.

Yeah. I figured something like that was going on. And it explains why Southwest can generally be cheaper than a lot of comparable airlines. I just wish they would notify me. Nothings worse than being in a crap-assed mood and realizing that your flight is going to be more annoying than you expected because of an unannounced stop.
