Commute:
Was reading Sherri S Tepper's The Companions but got distracted by Camus. In the form of The Plague. God I love Camus.
Not that I'm not loving the Tepper book either. In fact it's quite good. Really nice sci-fi.
Work:
Finished Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis in my attempt to read more theology. ( Read more... )

Oh gosh, I love Tepper! Plague of Angels is so wonderful! She does that "wait, am I reading SF of F" thing masterfully! The Plague, too, is just, man that's a wonderful book.

Loved Into Thin Air... I've read The Climb by Boukreev too, and Into Thin Air was definitely better. The writer for Boukreev's side really milked the whole "He's a great man... a great hero! Why would anybody believe a lowly magazine writer over an experienced mountaineer like him?!" perspective.
