1598 - "Come on, pierce through my chest made anxious by love."

It's funny, I cringe in annoyance everytime someone misuses the word, "natural" or "chemical", but I will happily invent new words, butcher phrases in strange ways and otherwise say stuff wrong and just chalk it up to, "I have a unique way of putting things."

Too many books. So little time.
Finished A Storm of Swords.
Started Temple of the GoldenRead more... )

Weird, they didn't show up on Outlook.

I might go the UBC/Kwantlen route though because since MEC is my actual job, I can easily request the film for exactly when I want it.

Ah, George RR Martin: such great fantasy! I'm almost at peace with enjoying him, which is more than I can say for a lot of other series. I love the lack of magic and the crazy plot twists. I hope in the cockles of my heart that one day he'll finish the sixth and seventh books.

I also love the lack of "character who has epic destiny" and and and he has no fear of killing off major characters. Nothing pisses me off more than characters surviving stupidly bad odds more than once because they're the "chosen one." (Which is why I liked China Mieville's Un Lun Dun so much. It was all about "what if the chosen one fails?")
