One has just come home from school glasses-less. Apparently when playing basketball in P.E., the ball hit her in the face and they just completely broke and scattered themselves all over everywhere

Yes, that rain came on rather suddenly after a glorious morning - I went for a walk at lunchtime because it was so nice, and had only been back inside a few minutes when it all went dark!

Poor One, I didn't need my glasses as much as she does so I always took them off for PE because I was afraid of breaking them (no plastic lenses then!) I now know this is why I was so appalling at ball games...

Sometimes I hang bedding in the rain to rinse the hard water from the mains water system out of it.
