Musical Woes

LJ just ate my entry.  Again.  Not happy right now...

I like this new piece. No, really - I do.  In fact, I love this piece.  And I'm going to keep telling myself this until I overcome the all-but-irresistable urge to strangle it.

The smoothing process is going rather bumpily.  Doesn't that rather defeat the purpose?  But at least it's going.  I

Well, it saved it the first time I got dumped. But the second time I had the entry completely done and was just about to post it when my computer upped and switched off, so when I opened it again, it reverted back to the first saved draft - half a paragraph versus the three or four I'd banged out. And by that point I was mad enough at the dratted thing that I really didn't feel like sitting there and retyping it if the computer felt like dumping me a third time. It didn't help that I'd been trying to write the blasted entry since I got home from work four or five hours earlier...

I'm starting to get a handle on it. It would help if the only other piano-player in the house (LVA) was home, but it's prom night, so forget that. *shrugs* It'll just be slow-going for a while, I suppose. Hopefuly when it's done I'll find some way to record it and throw it up here somewhere so you can listen.

Not usually, but it was doing a great deal of that yesterday. I'm not sure what was wrong....

I need to be good enough at playing that it sounds decent before I can think of recording it, first! Plus I'll need to get a second set of hands and probaby another keyboard to do it, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
