John Sheppard has absolutely no sexual tension or chemistry with anyone, ever. He doesn't like to be touched.

But, but! He only ever has no sexual chemistry with WOMEN! He sparks plenty with Ronon, and he touches Rodney! It's just that he's so very, very gay, and whether he knows it or not (I think maybe not), women just make him uncomfortable.

I can see him hooking up with Rodney, and suddenly having this baffling urge to CUDDLE, which is WEIRD because with his girlfriends he always was all "Get off me now, please, we've just had sex, WHY ARE YOU STILL TOUCHING ME!"

That thing where you could trade your dessert rations for cuddles? Is brilliant.

Because when you're in a whole other galaxy, and you're getting almost-killed all the time by aliens who really don't look scary until you think about the fact that they can take sixty years off your life and then leave you as an OLD DYING MAN, and the people protecting you are this self-absorbed asshole who whines about his deadly allergies a lot, and that dorky Major guy who got the ( ... )

Also, John wouldn't really know HOW to cuddle - it'd be like when little kids try to pet animals, and squeeze them too hard, or just do it wrong - and he would constantly be doing something REALLY STRANGE to Rodney, like petting his arm, or squeezing him too tightly around the middle, and Rodney would think that John really wasn't interested in cuddling - if he was going to put in that level of lame effort - and tell him to knock it off. And John would be a little taken aback and say, "okay." and go back to lonely huddling on his side of the bed, and wondering if this was how people felt when he wouldn't cuddle.

Obviously, eventually Rodney would figure out that John just sucked at cuddling, and they would have lessons.

I agree with this point.

And also, how is it that Rodney is basically an obnxious screaming queen for the most part and Shep is still gayer?
