How do I explain the watery eyes at work? Really nice ending. They're starting to heal but it does take time. I'm glad the Nana is more a part of the family, but poor Ryan. He was such an important part of the family in such a short amount of time. *sniff*

Sometimes, it's all it takes, and that's something I guess we all like about the show--that Ryan became a part of the family so quickly, as if the Cohen family had been missing a piece until he came along.

Thanks for reading this depressing fic, finlee :)

*sigh* how sad. *shaking head in disapproval to helen*

It's really, really beautiful and amazingly written but the fact that Ryan is dead and won't appear any moment in the door, spreading his dry humor, keeps making me even sadder..

Very well done helen, but please, never again!

I think this one got me the most. The way the Cohens and Nana moved on without him, the way they didn't want to forget him but they had to move on. Seth's anger at Ryan and Sandy's passiveness when Dawn called both were heartbreaking.

This is a great fic. Depressing, but just wonderful.

Thanks, Helen.

Thanks, Brandy!! This chapter was the hardest to write. It's hard enough killing Ryan, but the thought of the Cohens going on without him, because they don't have a choice, was just too awful... :(

The premise was/is depressing , Helen, but the reality you present here, beginning to heal, but not letting go is theway it is and as such isn't depressing, but it is still sad, never cried at so many chps! And I think it is the understatement that gets me.
Good choice to show the effect through the diffrent perspectives. Good choice to include the nana too.

Thanks you. Sorry the story made you cry (even if it is a little flattering, I'm ashamed to admit...)

(even if it is a little flattering, I'm ashamed to admit...) Well it's the power of your words causing the reaction which is the reason for telling you...plus, of course, the sincere hope you won't do it again, I reckon it's out of your system now:)

Oh, yes, totally out of my system now. Wouldn't dream of doing it again. Once is enough. Yup... :D
