Yay, Grandman Saracen!

One of my favorite moments is between Grandma Saracen and Matt's mom. Matt gets put in a game late and they see it one TV and just look at each other and then it's all "Let's go!"

I love that moment of unity. They were at odds with one another but Matt/Football?! We all must go! So much unconditional Matt love. It was awesome and I loved it. :-)

Yes! I loved that scene too! And Matt's "You came together?", like he can't believe they'd set their differences aside for him...

Heee. I'm not saying that BTVS was great art, but every time I think about Twilight, I'm reminded of that episode where an old friend of Buffy, suffering from cancer, decides to seek out vampires so they can turn him, because that way he won't die, and she tries desperately to convince him that he'd be better off dead--in fact, that he will be dead because a demon will have taken his place and *he* won't be around anymore...

Sigh.

Ah, well... There are many huge commercial successes I've never been able to really get into...

But boy, was I annoyed with Twilight. :D
