A while back, iuliamentis came back from a stay at The Cottage with all of the writerly types. She brought back, among other things, a cake that had been made (by Mer?) with Coca-Cola substituted for all of the wet ingredients.

I was terrified by this concept and was convinced it was part of a bet to get me to try the cake.
