I had a sewing lesson from a family friend on Saturday. She's a retired wedding and prom dress maker and besides teaching me the basics, she said her goal is to teach me how to draft my own patterns

my html is rusty, but its up to standard and it gets the job done (as long as there are no errors i'm not worried about the code being old)

I actually traded her lj paid account + icons, it wasn't much but it was something. i've been friends with her a long time so its no big deal! its just i have to do it myself now and I'm all "boooooooo" about that.

also do you want copies of the queer dream patterns? cause I can bring it to kinkos (right next to my job) and get it copied for you. ALSO ALSO did grace send you those patterns yet? I'm probably going to email her about them tonight cause I think I'm ready to take a crack at them!

my instructor was saying if she was paying as much as some people pay for doll clothes she'd expect it to be lined and serged so she isn't letting me get away with anything less ^^;; even though I'm a complete newbie.

She's making me do a pair of pants this Saturday. I only have one good pair for my unoa so its vital!

Personally, I think you did a great job on the babydoll dress, and those panties your friend did are SO CUTE! I need some for my Unoa! hehe

If your friend, whom you paid, can't do the website anymore, get your money back. Having access to the internet is something a web coder is REQUIRED to have. I mean, seriously, what was he/she thinking?! 0_o

the panties pattern is very simple (its just one piece that is cut on a fold). The lace is the hardest part about it! I can scan the pattern for you if you want it :D Even if you handsew it wouldn't take long to finish. I still need another pair for my other unoa!

it wasn't much, I don't even consider it a loss. its just a slight inconvenience to have to do to myself but I know that if her internet hadn't gotten cut off (wasn't her fault and she warned me about it a few days before it happened) she would've done it no problem.

I'm sure I could come up with someone equally amazing as she could have, I just have less free time with actually trying to work on the actual book. I might end up just throwing up something really quick and do something better after the book is done.
