There are so many regional stereotypes in the Philippines, from the kuripot (stingy) Ilokanos, to the malambing (sweet) Ilonggos, to the mayabang (flashy) Kampangans. I am better at baking than making food but I can follow a recipe and the most important part is I know what good food tastes like.

Mike's dad, I have to say, is one of the better cooks I know. I think it also has to do with his training as a cook in the US Navy.
