Care to enlighten us as to how "left wing thought" was misunderstood in this case? The statement "many liberals seem to think that the U.N. is somehow a democratic institution because its members vote" appears accurate and can be backed by statements from prominent liberals.

Meanwhile, you are constantly ascribing malintention to conservatives who want to cut the size of the government (greedy!), defend traditional marriage (homophobic!), support Israel (imperialist!), fight the war on terror (racist!), etc., without actually understanding conservative thought. Heck, you even recently claimed that libertarians want to eliminate the government; you can't even get their arguments straight, nevermind their reasoning!
