Ahh, the Fourth of July. My Talmud mashpia (rabbi/teacher) today said that America should celebrate Independence Day the in a similar fashion to the way Jews celebrate our Independence Day: Passover. The family gets together to have a special meal and the parents relate the story of the Exodus to the children, who are encouraged to ask questions. ( Read more... )
