The Time Traveler's Wife is total love. I think if my house burns down and I can only save on thing, that's what I'd save. That or quite possibly my art books.
I think I'd probably save my laptop, because TTTW is a lot cheaper to replace. But it's totally my desert island book, you know?
So it was really interesting to think about Heroes's portrayal of time and the malleability of the past vs. Henry's thoughts of determinism and, applying his theory, everything that Current Hiro does in his attempts to stop the bomb from happening lead to the bomb happening-- which I guess must mean he finds someone else who regenerates, because if you think about it, not every single person is going to have a distinct power, and maybe he already even has.
I'm more inclined to believe the second than the first, but OTOH there is the whole "splitting universes" theory (as portrayed in Series Two of new Doctor Who, specifically "Rise of the Cybermen" & its partner episode whose title I forget) and... yeah.
