As much as the Californian in me LOVES THIS FIC HARDCORE the Missourian in me is shaking her head sooooooo much at California's reaction to weather that midwestern states have been dealing with since wayyy before she was even born. ;D

In Cali's defense, midwestern states definitely have the resources and infrastructure to deal with such weather, while southern California...does not. XD

I think of Florida as America's kid, not Spain's. And Spain as her grandpa, too. So California and Florida are probably closer siblings than either of them are to say, the midwest? Basically, headcanon says that America is the parent of all states, and others involved become grandparents. I'm looking at you, Grandad Iggy.
