I sense a reality TV show in your future. You've been having a rough couple of days. Man.

is it illegal to duct tape the children?

If it is, we need to overthrow the government.

Oh dear lord! *headshake*

Lovely *sigh*

Rachel(amy and ira's kid) was a runner. They might have some suggestions. I know there were many times I watched Hannah and my two kids in the mall playground while Amy took off running after Rachel...

As for the kid leash... you know, I was always anti-leash too. But when we went to disney for the first time, i bought one of the kind that goes around the wrist, just in case. You do what you have to do *shrug*

Nodnod.

I'm just so fearful. This is really showing me that she's ... willful. :)

*snicker* willful's a good word.

I don't even think she's trying to be naughty, you know? I think it's probablyjust the desire to explore EVERYTHING without restriction more than a purposeful "i want to do things to make mommy turn that cool shade of purple"

It's not naughtiness. It's just curiosity.

And maybe just a little evil.

You lasted much longer than me. Alex runs off in whatever direction she can as soon as she can. I broke down and bought her a little backpack that has a cloth rope attached that goes around my wrist. My main objective in doing this was so my parents would have extra security in keeping her from jumping off the cliff where the wedding was held in San Diego (I was really scared), but...sometimes we use it. I'd rather the glares than her get hit by traffic!

Nod nod.

I was lulled into a false sense of security with Amelia, because she was generally not a runner. Katie, on the other hand, is ready to run!

I am pro-leash, because one mom (even with eyes in the back of her head and the magical third arm for emergencies) is going to have a heck of a time making sure more than one child stays within reach, especially if they both kids make a dash in opposite directions.
synisterchyck has a cute, tiny puppy backpack with leash for her toddler, and if you cave and decide to give toddler bondage a go, nobody should look down on you for that.

Yup. My guys are getting better, but as often as not, they head in opposite directions, and when I'm out with both of them and can't easily keep them within sight, I won't apologize for using harnesses. To me, it's far preferable to either keeping them strapped into a stroller, or losing one or both.
