Is Mercury in retrograde or something?

No need to answer that if you don't know, I'm just wondering, because there's been a lot of communication going on these past few days, and some odd misunderstandings and tangles. Mom rang me up today, wondering where dad was, and if I had heard from him, because he hadn't picked her up from work as usual, and she couldn't get him on the phone. ( Read more... )

I liked Madonna's Evita movie - it was one of the few movie roles that suited Madonna to a T. (The other was "Susan" in Desperately Seeking Susan. )

Great, I'm not the only one then:). I've not seen Desperately Seeking Susan, maybe they have it for rent. I also quite liked her as All-the-way May in A League of Their Own. I think it's the only movie mainly about sport that I've ever seen...

I haven't watched Evita. I do remember that one song that she sang in in, though, "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina". I don't think I've ever seen Madonna in a movie, now that I think of it.

Did the whole "double rainbow" video make it over to Finland? I know it had its 15 minutes here for a bit.

I read about the double rainbow video somewhere on the internet, but I haven't seen it. I actually thought about it when I saw the rainbow...
There are some lovely songs in Evita, I really like the lyrics, as well. It's interesting, the way the musical is so much about politics in Argentina, and yet it can touch people all over the world. There's something universal about it.
