No need to answer that if you don't know, I'm just wondering, because there's been a lot of communication going on these past few days, and some odd misunderstandings and tangles. Mom rang me up today, wondering where dad was, and if I had heard from him, because he hadn't picked her up from work as usual, and she couldn't get him on the phone. Well, that was explained and they found each other at home, so no problem. Then I've been texting and getting a phone call interrupting the text, and vice versa. Thank goodness, it's all among friends and relatives, and nothing that couldn't be explained, or sorted out. It's a lot worse when there are misunderstandings at work (with clients, in my case), or when there's money involved.
I'm listening to Evita, the movie album. Am I the only person in the world who liked that movie? Madonna may not be the world's best actress, but she seemed to capture the drama of her part quite nicely, and she certainly has the voice for the vocals. And Antonio Banderas was lovely in his role as Che, I think:). The stage version ran in Finland about ten years ago, but I wasn't able to go and see it. One day, perhaps...
I went to the library today and found some new music to play, hallelujah! I didn't take any music with me for my short vacation, and had to content myself with playing mostly by heart, so there wasn't much challenge. I really love learning something new again. It's a shame, though, that many songs I love singing don't really work as piano pieces. At least not with my skills, I need a somewhat steady beat and relatively simple melodies for playing.
There was an amazing double rainbow yesterday evening! The "real" one was simply glowing with colours, and the "reflection" was broad and visible for almost as long as the lower one. It's quite a treat to see a rainbow at such close quarters. It spanned the sky right above the house opposite mine. I wanted to take a picture of it, but there was no point, because I only have my Iphone, and the quality is pretty bad. Anyway, I think I'll remember it for a long time. Have a good weekend, everyone!
