Camelot was definitely hilarious. Ange, as Jenn put it to me yesterday, no one has ever, will ever, or would want to ever have sex like that. Like, I can't believe they put "say my name" into EVA GREEN's mouth. idk i can't get past it
Game of Thrones! I don't know, I'm enjoying it? But I'm also having to look past a few things that bother me. I usually can't get into really dense fantasy epics save LotR, but this one starts moving pretty quickly a few chapters in.
Except that I get bored with pseudo-historical, pseudo-European fantasy worlds in general because they're just so unimaginative. Like, if it's supposed to be a fantasy, and you can do whatever you want, then why are the gender norms and demographics so familiar and basic? idk, idk.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR GAME OF THRONES. :D I adore the books hardcore and everything I've seen of the trailers so far just has my fangirly heart exploding with glee.
Also am giddy for Merlin to start up again. I fail at keeping up with it, and then to watch an entire season in, like, a day. But I am now kinda totally in love with Gawain and want one for my own. And I felt like blashphemy when I shipped him with Merlin more this season than I did Arthur. >.>
I avoid fandoms like the plague these days. They're scary places! :O Which is probablyalso why I have no idea what brackets are. ???
GoT! I'm not even finished the first book and already the trailers are making me giddy from all the things I recognize and can't wait to see on screen. So excited for Bean and Lena and the Starks, esp. Jon and Arya, and wheeeeee.
I do a lot of shows that way, just wait till they're done and mainline them. GAWAIN IS MY BOYFRIEND. And Merlin's.
Stay away from fandoms! All fandoms! I'm already jealous of the blissful life you must be leading. *g*
fkjgndf It looks so epic. And the books are hardcore. And get so TWISTY! I love Jon and Arya. And BRAN *heartbreak* And Jaime, he grew on me. XD
Hahaha, some I do, some I can't stand to go more than a week without, so it balances out well. ;) ISN'T HE WONDERFUL? Greatest lines of the entire season. I found myself wanting entire quirky episodes of HIM and ignoring the rest of the cast. >.>
Ahahaha, I TRY! I spent.... a gazillion years in the Harry Potter fandom, almost from the very start. Which had several lifetimes worth of crazy and wank in it that have probably permanently scarred me, whether I realize it or not. XD Although now I laugh at everyone's posts and go 'yeah, been there, done that, probably have an actual t-shirt...'
Yeah, I agree, basically. I mean I don't care what people do with their time, but it's in no way a good thing for fandom. It's more one of those inevitable things every fandom has, that you just kinda deal with or ignore unfortunately. Merlin fandom couldn't stay happy forever, no fandom of any size can do that.
Since I'm slow on fandom life right now, I'm focusing on the other part of your random entry.....
Productive comment: iPads are shiney fun times. They make you feel like you're from the future ;)
I scoffed at them when they first came out - but then when I had some spare cash and realized there were good work related apps (I need to remember tax deductible does not equal free, but it sure as hell helps), I caved. It still wasn't a need but an 'want' situation, lol.
I love having it. There are a few things I would change, and if I were looking into it right now I'd wait and see for the upgrades in the new model, but I don't regret purchasing it back in November at all (unless the new model is amazingly improved at discounted price at which point I will curse a blue streak). I'm aware I mostly love the novelty though of the touch screen and the portability, but it's somewhat worth it for me since I have an 8 year old Samsung rather than an iphone or a crackberry that has similar features, ha.
YOU HAVE ONE? OKAY COOL. I'm so glad to hear you love it (and are finding it useful most of all, haha)! My guess is the ipad 2 won't have MASSIVE changes that'd make you curse, and will instead be a 3GS-esque upgrade like the iphone had. Not holding out hope for a USB port or front-facing camera or anything major but I'm hoping for more RAM and possibly more disk space.
Important question: what kind of accessories do you have? Did you buy a case and/or protector for it, and stuff?
Haha if I get it and random people come up to me wanting to touch it I don't think that will go very well, hm. XD
I'm such a sucker for Apple's bullshit, it's not even funny. It's NOT funny. I'm sure that one day I will have an ipod, iphone, ipad, Macbook Pro, and a Mac Pro. Pathetic. :P
If by playing boggle for hours on end, getting addicted to Cut the Rope, reading books, playing scrabble, sharing photos and watching videos, watching NBA games, getting news updates as they happen and obsessively checking sports scores while having constant access to email and internet you mean useful? Then yes, totally usefulIn all seriousness I have found a lot of uses for it that I never thought I would, some productive and work related, some not so much :) I was amazed at how fast the space has filled up though, though most of it has been from video files I will eventually delete. I went with the biggest one with wifi and 3g, and wouldn't have done it any other way (if you're shelling out a shitload of money anyway what's another few hundred *snort*). Hopefully the max will increase, you're right
( ... )
LOL for me, 'useful' means that you actually use it regularly - doesn't even matter what for. *g*Although I do have some experience with the constant access in my iphone (it's like an actual APPENDAGE at this point), the ipad just looks so shiny
( ... )
James Franco's behavior sort of weirded me out, but LOL at people saying Anne did a bad job. Or that Anne did a bad job and that Anne brought him down. So much side eye.
Your TV thoughts are my TV thoughts! I'm behind on Being Human and don't care enough to catch up, TVD is on the thinnest of ice, and I'm pumped about Merlin's new series. I haven't seen Camelot yet, but I heard it hilariously awful. I'll probs watch it tonight.

LOL the internet is gross. Of course Anne was the problem and not Franco, of course.
