I've gotten numb to the rants about Arthur/Gwen, but the irrational Gwen hate still pisses me off. It makes no sense to hate a character because she's being defined by her romantic relationship and proceed to DEFINE HER BY HER ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP. If they really wanted Gwen to grow as a character with her own story independent of Arthur, they should be dancing in the streets about her story this season, with the family member, Merlin friendship and detective shenanigans going down. But yeah, that's not happening so whatever. Stop the whining.

re: the last episode, I usually love old people romance, but...Gaius. Blah. He doesn't deserve a good woman.

Arthur/Gwen rants don't faze me much either; not shipping it is fine. But I've yet to encounter a Gwen rant that made a lick of sense to me. Particularly now, when she appears to be getting at least some of the things fandom claimed to want, but somehow it's still not up to scratch. WHATEVS.

Right? I just wish people would own their dislike/boredom/whatever of Gwen instead of trying to couch it in faux-feminist bullshit. I'm so over Gwen haters. Their hate for her makes no sense. But I do understand people have the right to like who they want. But I just don;t understand why they have to harp on it. I'm not the biggest Bradley James fan in fact I don't like him at all.

On the other hand I loved the promo and I can't wait for this episode.

I can ignore A/G hate...but Gwen hate? Can't. Won't. It's beyond ridiculous. She's no threat to air time - not even with Angel portraying her...this is Merlin after all.

So the order of screen time goes;

Merlin running, Merlin's UHOH face, Merlin's boots, Merlin's eyes, phallic object, Arthur's chest, Arthur's neck, Arthur's face, Uther, Horse, Tree, Rock, Castle, Gwaine, Monster, Gaius, Sky, Door, Gwen/Morgana...

Gwen's no threat to anything...*bites lip* except um ...possibly the other two big Ships...
