+ Signal boost! zahrawithaz has a list of 50 books by queer authors of color, in honor of the opening of queerlit50 and the continued radness of 50books_poc. If anyone's attempting either challenge, that list has got it all. Zahra's journal is full of a variety of thought food, btw; you should look her up.

It has its few-and-far-between moments, but if they could sing for 45 minutes I'd be much happier with the whole show.

He thinks RACHEL'S the problem in that relationship? Really? I love Rachel/Puck, but I'm the first to point out that Puck is a JERK. I like R/P mainly because Rachel seems to make him a bit more mature.

My thoughts exactly! I like him better when he is around her, whether that's as friends or whatever. And for sure SHE is not the problem.

Ryan Murphy is definitely a confirmed jackass. I was over him the second he started spouting that BS about how "our show is about the importance of art education" during his Globes acceptance speech. Please, you just won a goddamned useless Golden Globe, not a Nobel.

lolz. The GGs are a bit of a joke. I enjoy Glee for the singing and some of the characters; I really do, but the writing is crap.

Yeah; it's tricky because I can see the need to please the fanbase. They're creating something for an audience and if the audience doesn't like it, it won't stay on the air. But at the end of the day, in most shows I've seen anyway, the writing suffers for it.

The answer to all of your questions would be (apparently) 'No', btw. (I love me some Quinn, though.)

Oh I agree, re fanservice. The shows where writers are more firm about their direction tend to be better shows. Out of the ones I've seen, anyway.
