Wow, this is the first time I remotely wanted Christa to go away, which, wow, I did not like not liking her for a minute.
I was all, "shutup, you can tell Dean what pills to take and what not to drink and what steps to follow to fix the hellfire in their minds, but don't freaking tell him how to do his job, woman. Don't you dare try to take his place there. Sam loves you and you love Sam, but he is Dean's, firstly Dean's, only Dean's. You are a borrower," and then I was mildly mollified, but now I'm still leftover indignant and I don't like it but maybe if I play ponies with Kylie I'll feel better. T_T
God I love this and the icon and the fact that with everything else, you guys are still making it Sam-and-Dean. It doesn't mean that it's Sam-and-Dean and the Others. It's Everyone, and in that mix there's still Sam-and-Dean, if that makes any sense.
I just absolutely love to death how this is playing out.
Although, you keep teasing me about the story where Sam gets his new heart.
Granted, if I had that fic, I'd probably be whining about another concept you've introduced being done, so, well, to put it simply; bravo for keeping up the suspense and want.
Thank you! i worked SO HARD on the icon to photoshop Christa's face in.
And yeah, everyone and still samanddean is exactly right. Dean's learning all these new dynamics of his new family, and he doesn't want to let go of this primary relationship with sam.
The new-heart fic is 1/5 written. We want it to be great!
Even though it left me a little sad (but then again you tend to rip my heart out with this verse), I really enjoyed this because it was an accurate representation of what some people are like in this scenario and their loved ones having a mental illness, being indignant despite themselves that they know how to take care of their loved ones, and no one else can do it the same way they can, or should even get to. And Dean, especially, would suffer from this, and being told that what he's doing is wrong would made it so much worse. (In the story I'm working on with broken!Sam and his own lover, Dean acts in a similar way, because yeah, he can be grateful that other people are in Sam's life and are taking care of him, but he's still his Sam, and he's been taking care of him for almost thirty years now, dammit.) I feel like this story painted a very realistic picture of Dean in this situation, and you painted it wonderfully
( ... )
Oh my god I adore this comment. This is exactly what I was going for, but like, I could NEVER have articulated it so well. I just had this FEELING in my head about it and you put words to it brilliantly.
I'll try to get to a story about the sequence of events that made Cas leave. It's not an easy one to get around, but the bottom line is that he loves Sam SO MUCH.
