Congress shall kiss my fringe-religion ass.

Congress would like you to know that "Christianity is the religion of over three-fourths of the American population", and "the largest religion in the world". Congress would like you to know that (in case you weren't aware) "Christians identify themselves as those who believe in the salvation from sin offered to them through the sacrifice of their ( Read more... )

AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I thought this religious ass-hattery was solely the domain of podunk towns like Bakersfield.

I was talking about our recent religious political lameness (In God we Trust posters being put into schools and school Winter and Spring breaks names being officially changed to Christmas and Easter break) with someone who's sister goes to church with one of the involved politicians. She said that they see getting religion into schools and government as "fighting a war." While the rest of us are trying to play nice and get along, they are stealing our country.

Democracies, while espousing to have rights to protect the minority, are ultimately a tyranny of the majority.

Christianity got to be 2 billion strong through, killing, cohesion and applications of it's might in every arena possible. No reason for them to stop now. Christianity has been on a Jihad since it became the religion of the Roman Empire. They don’t have to declare it anymore, it’s in their doctrine and dogma now.

I came across this interesting editorial while cruising the "Americans United for the Separation of Church & State" website. I see they actually have a Kern County chapter, though it doesn't look like anyone is doing much of anything there....
