I have decided that I will be hosting a Halloween Film Watch Party post on my journal every weekend of October!!!

Here's how it works!
During the week, we'll vote for which movie we want to watch most from each category. The Categoes are:
-'Lighter/less killy-stabby-deathy-evily': This includes films such as family films, comedies, various 'not slasher and/or horror films' movies without such dark themes. There is an exception in that Sleepy Hollow is very bloody and killy, BUT it's billed as a dark comedy so it fits.
-'Darker/more killy-stabby-deathy-evily': These aren't really SCARY movies because I don't LIKE scary movies, but these are more dark themed/killer-rich movies. Mostly slasher films and/or action-suspense thrillers with a Halloween-ish vibe.
The concept is simple! Once our movies are picked on Thursday, I'll post a post on Friday with multiple steaming/hosting links and you will be free to share links in case you find a better quality one or maybe one that works in your area. (In the event we SOMEHOW can't find good links, we'll go to the next most voted film instead)
The post will be open Friday night and there will be a posted 'start time' and hopefully a timezone converter for you to work out your time. However, if you aren't able to MAKE the time, the post will stay open Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday for your discussions as you go!
You watch the film(s) and discuss in the comments!
In the case of marathons/sequels there will be a schedule worked out. Friday night and Saturday night or Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. OR in the case of Scream where there are 4 films, Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, and Sunday. REMEMBER: the schedules will be guidelines only!!! Just watch as you want, that's your decision.
EDIT: I didn't make it clear, but there will be two films (or film+ one marathon) per weekend. One lighter and one darker. Basically, one from each poll. There will be better details once we get this messy start out of the way!!!
Voting:
Since this week is a late start, the post will go up SATURDAY not Friday. After we watch this weeks films, the remaining fims and/or any write-ins that I don't epically hate (DONT. LIKE. SCARY. MOVIES) will be in the voting list for the NEXT week, which WILL go up on Monday.
