Holiday Ficathon: More than Friends

I know it may seem a bit early to announce a holiday ficathon, but my fellow mods and I want to allow writers plenty of time to write, given that November and December tend to be rather insane months. (We're also hoping to pick up a few of you who enjoy writing for National Novel Writing Month, which starts November 1st - epic

Yeah, a question here. I think I know what you mean by a 'holiday' ficathon, as I'm aware of the alternate meaning of the word 'holiday' in the US. For those of us who speak Britglish, though, 'holiday' means 'vacation' - so, really, to us a 'holiday ficathon' means a ficathon where the Doctor and Rose go on holiday...

Yes, your thinking was correct. It's also, by my understanding, what Brits use (i.e. "bank holiday"), as in a day off.

And if you want to have them go off "on holiday", feel free.

I would like to see more Nine/Rose fics, preferably shippy. They seem to have slowed in recent months and there are only a few writers still writing for those two.
I would also like more post JE fic, but not with Rose acting like a selfish, shallow winer, because that's not her.

The rules of the ficathon should help clarify your concerns a bit -

All fics (per the instructions above) for this ficathon are Nine/Rose. hearts_in_time is a Nine/Rose ship comm - and other ships are considered off-topic. So that should take care of that concern.

Interpretations of Rose are left up to the author.
