Fight Club - OTA

After talking with Alice and Macbeth, Jenny decided to check out the fight club, The Underground. As she stepped inside and looked around, a smile began to form, it was perfect. "I'll be able to get rid of the restlessness here." And her need to punch something. It will also help her stay in shape. She signed up for a match then headed toward ( Read more... )

Roaming on the other side of the room, unaware she was there, was Macbeth, who, after their conversation, had sought this place out as well. This was his second time here. The first time, he'd taken back to his room bruises and bloodied knuckles, as well as the old, familiar buzz of adrenaline.

So, he was back, called into the ring before Jenny was, wearing a pair of cargo pants he worked in and a tank top. Someone had wrapped his knuckles, but he entered the ring, circling the other man. The rules, yes, certainly, then, when told he could, he surged forward, an almost animalistic ferocity on his face.

Jenny raised her bottle of beer and almost dropped it when she saw who was in the ring. She shouldn't have been surprised but she was and moved to get a closer look at the ring.

He fought street tough and hard. She gave a cheer and settled into a seat by the ring.

His opponent was trying to maintain a sense of decorum, of distance. But not Macbeth. He had fought dirty in close quarters in Scotland and he fought that way here, getting an arm around the man's neck in short order.

He was called off that, of course, and he started to circle again.

Jenny watched with interest. She knew that he was from the past, she had to be an idiot if she'd never heard of Macbeth, but she hadn't expected him to be street tough. She was pretty sure that he could hold his own with anyone on the streets of a big city.

Ares 'job' at The Underground was to add war mojo where the fighters would fight more intensely. He liked that everyone here was either a warrior or liked to fight. He noticed someone that wasn't a regular go to the bar that had a warrior about her. It wasn't like the more modern warriors of the village, nor was it like Xena, but the spark was there.

Maybe he'd found his female warrior in the village that didn't want to 'do good'.

He approached with a smile and a nod at the bartender to give her whatever she was drinking on him.

Jenny noticed him, how could you miss a leather clad, goatee wearing man, but she hadn't expected him to approach her. Or buy her a drink, that had been a surprise, not that she would ever turn down free beer.

"Thanks." She held out her hand, "I'm Jenny."

At least she had started the introductions with her name rather than ask who he was. It was a nice change.

"Ares." He took her hand and just held it, rather than releasing it, and looked into her eyes. "Are you signed up to fight?" He could pretty much guess that she was.

Jenny almost snickered out a laugh at this being Ares but while she fought against the apocalypse of the one god that didn't mean others didn't exist.

"Ares. Not really surprised to find the god of war in a fight club." She raised the drink in salute.

"Care for a drink while you wait?" He's not behind the bar even though he's the owner. Wesker's sitting on a stool close to her with his sunglasses on even though the room is rather dim.

"I'd love one." Jenny said as she turned her head to the question. "Any beer on tap will do." She wasn't picky at all, especially when it came to beer.

He gestures to the bartender and pours one of the better brews on tap. One is handed to her, the other to Wesker.

"This is the first time I've seen you here."

"First time I've been here." Jenny admitted. "I met someone that had done a cage fight and I thought I'd come check it out."
