There had been quite a run of hot sunny days, but today there was also a marvelous breeze that made everything feel clean and fresh. Lana opened all the doors and windows of the bookstore to let the breeze bring in fresh air and chase out all the stuffiness

...And a perfect day for an Asgardian to visit a friend. Loki spotted the open doors and windows to the book shop and decided to (finally) take Lana up on her offer. He headed inside and paused a moment to let his eyes adjust to the dark(er) interior.

"Loki!" Lana said with a smile. "How nice to see you again!"

"Lana," Loki greeted her in return with his own smile. "I must ask your indulgence and forgiveness for not attending upon you sooner." He bowed slightly to her, with his hand over his heart. While there was still a smile on his face, there might have also been a tinge of regret.

"I found myself in conflict with another shortly after arriving and did not wish to draw his attention towards you."

"Oh no!" Her face showed her concern. "I'm sorry you had trouble with someone. But I can understand - and certainly appreciate - your not wanting to bring trouble here."

Lana came around to the front of the counter. "I hope things have settled down now?"

So, Randy wasn't actually much of a reader. He was more an action type guy. It was one of the reasons why he wore his khakis and a t-shirt. That also reminded him of being in the military, which he missed pretty much all the time. He also missed his brothers.

So, he was a little lost as he wandered, sticking his head into the bookstore. "Um ... hello?"

Lana smiled at him. "Hi, come on in. How can I help you?"

"Um." Wow, she was pretty, and Randy wasn't very good with pretty women, see. He might develop emotions. "Um. So ... books."

"Yes," Lana said with a smile. "Lots of books. Can I help you find one?"
