Remy LeBeau sat outside the Tea Emporium, legs casually kicked up on one of the tables set outside for guests. He was still at work but was on a break and had wanted to take a moment to enjoy the nice hot weather. A reminder of home. Not as humid as the Bayou, but it'd do ( Read more... )

Aside from Draco's birthday, Charles hadn't much ventured out. He was indeed reclusive and Jack was humoring him.

Perhaps it was the weather that drew him out; he didn't know for certain. Though, he was glad to see a (friendly) familiar face. "Hello, Remy," he said as he stopped his chair next to where the mutant sat.

Remy set down his drink, taking a moment to stare at Charles. "Professor... you lookin'--" Different, "Hairier."

He rubbed his own stubble, "Hope you not tryin' to steal my look, no?"

Chuckling, Charles shook his head. "Not at all. I - please call me Charles."

"Hard to stop doin' a t'ing you so used to doin', like callin' someone a certain name. But if it really dat important to you. I'll try." he said, giving a firm nod.

He might be a thief, but his word was good when it came to friends.

Bo was walking home from her shift at the night club. It was hard to leave Kenzi's side lately. She felt both protective and guilty from the information that Kenzi had told her. How could she have let Hale die? And how could she have not saved Kenzi?

As always, as she neared Remy, she felt drawn to look up and over in his direction. Damn. What was it about Kenzi's boyfriend? She should have kept going, but she ended up walking closer. "Hey." She gave him a nod.

Eyes moving up, Remy noticed her approach before she spoke. How could he not?

He took a sip of his tea, giving her an upnod before setting it back down, "Hello, Bo."

Damned if she didn't feel warmth in places only meant for Dyson.

"How's it going?"

He gestured for her to have a seat in the chair next to him. Remy couldn't deny a similar effect in Bo's presence. Any extended meeting with her seemed like playing with fire.

But she was Kenzi's friend, couldn't exactly avoid her.

"Goin' okay. Just on a break. But de shop not busy-" he chuckled, flashing a smile, "So de break gonna be pretty long."

Gabriel was on a mission. He'd set up a few entertaining little pranks over the last day or so, and had watched them unfold with a malicious and immature joy shared only between pre-teen boys and Tricksters.

Now he needed to sit back, relax, and think of a few other little japes. After all, he'd clearly already won this silly little prank war with Loki, but really he needed something else, something more just to round it all off. And that meant heading out, into the village and getting some inspiration.

He didn't really know his way around as yet, but it seemed to him that he'd passed the little tea place a couple of times and with the sun warm and the sky blue, it was sort of inviting. Of course if they sold desserts it would be even better, but for the moment, he was happy to pull out one of the chairs on the outside table and take a seat.

Maybe he'd be lucky and they'd even have attractive table staff...

The only attractive table staff that happened to be in today was Remy. So, he kicked his legs up off the table and grabbed one of the menus and headed over to the table where Gabriel had taken up shop.

He set down the menu, "Bonjour, mon ami. Welcome to de Tea Emporium."

Ooooh, Cajun. Gabriel looked up, grin appearing on his face. He liked that accent- although truthfully was there anyone alive who didn't? Bayous and zombies and magic, that's what that accent was all about, and he was already beginning to feel a terribly wicked idea form in his head.

"Bonjour! Now isn't that a sound for poor ears." He replied, the grin widening somewhat. Hot cajun wait-staff, he was going to have to come by more often.

"You gotta do ice tea, right?" He asked hopefully. He could always snap up his own if they didn't, but he'd be really disappointed.

Remy was more than aware of his affect on people, and he was more than ready to use it to his advantage. Say, in this case, if it gave him more tips. But Remy was always friendly unless someone gave him reason not to be.

He flashed a smile right back, "Course we got ice tea. Make any tea we serve iced you want dat. Also sweet tea, Remy also make a Cajun ice tea wit a little bit of a kick-" he winked, "if you know what I mean."
