Remy LeBeau sat outside the Tea Emporium, legs casually kicked up on one of the tables set outside for guests. He was still at work but was on a break and had wanted to take a moment to enjoy the nice hot weather. A reminder of home. Not as humid as the Bayou, but it'd do ( Read more... )

Bo was walking home from her shift at the night club. It was hard to leave Kenzi's side lately. She felt both protective and guilty from the information that Kenzi had told her. How could she have let Hale die? And how could she have not saved Kenzi?

As always, as she neared Remy, she felt drawn to look up and over in his direction. Damn. What was it about Kenzi's boyfriend? She should have kept going, but she ended up walking closer. "Hey." She gave him a nod.

Eyes moving up, Remy noticed her approach before she spoke. How could he not?

He took a sip of his tea, giving her an upnod before setting it back down, "Hello, Bo."

Damned if she didn't feel warmth in places only meant for Dyson.

"How's it going?"

He gestured for her to have a seat in the chair next to him. Remy couldn't deny a similar effect in Bo's presence. Any extended meeting with her seemed like playing with fire.

But she was Kenzi's friend, couldn't exactly avoid her.

"Goin' okay. Just on a break. But de shop not busy-" he chuckled, flashing a smile, "So de break gonna be pretty long."

She slid into a seat as she smiled in response. "Those are my favourite types of breaks."

The shifts went faster when the club was busy, but sometimes that was overwhelming on her senses.

She paused. "How's it going with Kenzi being back?"

"It's goin' alright. Glad she back." Not so glad that she was probably dead outside the village. Remy didn't know though if Kenzi had told the others everything that'd happened, so he didn't say as much.

She nodded. Bo was glad, too. The village would be much harder without her best friend.

"Did she... tell you about what happened back home?"

Sadness crossed Remy's face, but he pushed it away quickly. "She did. Take it she told you too?"

Bo nodded again and completely felt Remy on that one. "Yeah.."

She paused for a long second and leaned back in her chair. "I'm sorry." Why she felt the need to apologize to Remy, she had no idea, but she did.

He shook his head, having to look away, "Didn't seem like you could do much about it from what she say. She de one who made de choice..."

"She shouldn't have had to. I should have found another way." It was frustrating for Bo because she didn't really understand what happened or how it happened. It hadn't happened to her yet, so it was all just conjecture on her part. She just felt as if she should have had more control.

"It hasn't happened for you yet, no?" he offered, "Maybe you can find another way for when it happen again..."

"That's the plan... If I can avoid the whole thing together, I will." No one would die. Not Kenzi, not Hale.

"And I promise that as long as I'm here, I'll keep her safe. Dinosaurs or zombies or whatever." Bo might have felt the need to be extra protective now.

"You ain't de only one who can protect her." he pointed out, lifting up a coaster from the table to light it up with his fingers. He pulled the charge back though so that it wouldn't explode.

Bo watched and couldn't help feeling like that his action was kind of hot. She nodded though and tried not to let those ideas swing very far from where they manifested.

"I know... I just feel like, with everything..." It was hard to explain and she trailed off. She felt like she needed to redeem herself somehow. Keeping Kenzi happy and safe here might be the way to start.

She paused. "How are you dealing with things?"

He was trying not to blame Bo for what had happened. Remy knew what that sort of guilt was like and that it truly was no fault of hers. Remy shook his head, "Still tryin' to wrap my head around it. She also told me about Hale..."
