New in Town (ota)

A part of Meg had no idea why she was putting her life on the line for Castiel and the Winchesters. She knew better. She was a demon and self preservation was one of the skills you got really good at being in Hell. Even so, she had put herself in the direct path of the current king of Hell and she knew she was probably going to die ( Read more... )

She had some timing, didn't she? Dean and Cas had actually talked about Meg very recently. He really did have the worst luck ( ... )

If Castiel had it his way, neither Lucifer nor Ruby would be out wandering free.

"The village protects us all and usually doesn't allow anyone to harm one another. Everyone has a 'fresh start' here, meaning that no matter what they've done in the past they cannot be punished for it here."

She scrunched her nose as if to say that 'fresh starts' were lame. There was a small part of Meg that relished the idea, but she wouldn't admit that. Admitting that would make her seem weak.

"Well, I guess I should try to earn my wings, then, huh Clarence?" Meg said with a wry smile.

"If you wish to. I'm telling you what I know, I'm not saying I agree with it just that there is nothing I can do about them being here. The same with vampires, though they promise not to drain people just 'snack' on the willing. But I am keeping an eye on things." And now he'd be keeping a close eye on her too.

"I wouldn't expect anything different." She commented, then paused.

Meg looked him up and down. It seemed to her that Castiel might have grown a pair, small as they probably were. It was an interesting turn of events.

"And what do you here, in quaintsville?" She asked.

Castiel has been through a lot here, he knows, and for some reason he still finds it strange that it seems like Meg actually cares. That she's asking because she really wants to know and not because she feels obligated to for some reason. He finds he likes that, in a way, though it certainly makes things complicated.

"I work at the Wellness Center. It's called The Ribbon. I have time to help people here, and to learn about humanity." Which he'll have no choice but to understand once he loses his Grace.

"Of course you do." She said with amusement.

It did fit Castiel, it seemed to her.

"Any ideas of what I should do?" Meg asked only half serious.

"I'm... not sure." He replied after thinking about it for a moment. She should stay away from Lucifer and The Black Sheep, but he didn't want to give away his whereabouts although Meg could quickly figure it out.

"Work at the cinema, since you know a lot about films?" She quoted them enough. At least he thinks she does.

((I am without my laptop for an indeterminate period of time and therefore couldn't watch spn on livestream tonight. :( ))

She raised an eyebrow.

"The cinema? Really?" She said unimpressed. "I'd like to think I have more to offer than popcorn and Pepsi."

Meg doesn't really like the sound of 'honest work'. She shrugs.

"I'll have to figure out something." She said, then smiled with amusement. "Something fun."

{ooc: The episode was okay, but a bit strange haha}

[[Finally saw it. Yeah... eh, it was alright. Excited about tonight's!]]

"Yes, you do have more to offer." She could work with him? But that might not go over well with Anna. Though, Kerai would probably really like Meg, actually. Not that she didn't like Anna.

"Just- not too much fun?" Cas spoke half-concerned and half-warning her. He'd be watching.

She rolled her eyes not unlike a teenager.

"Yes, dad" She said, then smiled. "So, aren't you going to show a gal to her room or what?"

"I'm not your-" At first, Castiel was close to explaining that he was not in fact her father. Actually, they could not be related, but... he was getting better with this sarcasm thing, and so he figured it may have been what that was.

"Yes, I can. Everyone sent here stays at the hotel." Even angels and demons. He hoped Meg wasn't going to be rooming with Lucifer or someone equally troubling. Even Ruby would be a problem. "Sometimes you're assigned a roommate. For instance, I live with Anna here."

"Oh you do, do you?" She said with a slight raise of one eyebrow as she side-glanced to him.

Meg found the information interesting. She also felt a slight jab of another emotion she wasn't comfortable with admitting.

"Whatever did happen to that red head?" She asked. "I heard through the grapevine she got her Grace back and killed Uriel, but that's about it."

"She saved my life when she killed Uriel." Maybe Castiel had a thing for females that saved him? He didn't know, he barely understood how to tie his own shoelaces.

"She, ah, was a little off after I allowed her to be captured and when she escaped she attempted to kill the Winchester's parents by travelling back in time... and Michael killed her when she tried to kill Sam."

Cas grimaced. "I blame myself, though I am sure many might think she wasn't exactly well for pulling out her own Grace in the first place."

"But, yes. I live with Anna now. We're..." He didn't know how to say it to Meg; how to tell her that they were a couple.

"You're...?" She asked.

Meg had an idea, but the idea of torturing Castiel a little was too hard for her to give up, it seemed.

He didn't know why this was difficult. At this point, he could tell anyone else without giving it a second thought. Maybe he really did have feelings for Meg after all.

"Anna and I are dating."
