Playing in the snow - Open

Feb 02, 2013 13:30

After everything that had happened last weekend, it was nice to see the village covered in snow. It sort of made it like it was wiping it clean. The memories would never be wiped, but at least it helped. It also helped that it felt like home to Molly. This time of year in Chicago, they would have had a lot of snowfall ( Read more... )

Xas was at the farm tending to his grapevines and Jeremy had volunteered to pass by the bakery to get some of those tart cakes Gorgo was craving. He decided to pass through the park, walking down the path when he saw Molly - and the moving snow.

He watched, smiling when he realized she was the one moving it, and on instinct he canted his head and pushed the snow on the other side, meeting her growing pile halfway. He giggled softly, thinking that was funny.

Jeremy grinned brighter though it still looked a bit shy. He looked around for a moment before he turned to Molly again, keeping his eyes on her.

The snow on the ground then started to lift, slowly, flake after flake seemed to float back upward. Jeremy could feel his connecting to everything around him, the trees, the earth, the snow. Molly.

Around them it began to look like it was snowing but from the ground,

Molly's jaw dropped open as she watched it. "That is so cool! You have to teach me how you're doing that."

"It's snowing up." He laughed and then he put both his hands out for Molly to take. "I'll show you."

Jeremy did. He let Molly feel his energy first, then he let it spread out for her to feel the ground he stepped on. That led to the snow, stretching, stretching as far as there was snow. Each flake, each one having it's own energy that connected it to each other.

Pulling a bit on her magic, her abilities, Jeremy used it to let Molly feel what he felt - the connection to everything especially the snow on the ground. He smiled, whispering to Molly, "now you try. Use me." He'd be the conductor of her magic.

Molly felt her jaw drop at the sensations, it was kind of like what she felt when she was using a ley line. She closed her eyes and let herself feel. The snow that was falling up began to dance around them, a little like a small whirlwind but it was soft.

He could feel Molly's presence so strongly passing through him and it was a connection he reveled in.

Jeremy looked up and around, his smile growing before meeting Molly's gaze. "It's beautiful."

"Our own personal snow globe. Well that was what I was going for anyway." Molly glanced around, "Can you do that with any of the elements?"

Jeremy was still looking at the snow that was swirling gently around them.

"I never tried it except for leaves in the fall." A long time ago when he was in his home at the farm with his grandparents.

"But I'm not doing this," he told her. "you are." he was just providing the connection from Molly to the snow.

"No way. Seriously?" She glanced around at the snow dancing around them and her smile went wide. "Very cool. Definitely something to show Harry." Molly had assumed she was just boosting Jeremy's power, not that she was actually doing it.

Jeremy grinned sheepishly. "Maybe I'm helping just a little bit," he told her. "Ready to let it go?" He asked, eyes still on the sky and the snowflakes around them.

"Yeah. How do I make it stop? Just slowly pull the spell away or just stop?" In mind magic you slowly walked back out of the mind but in illusionary magic you just stopped.

"Just stop and It'll just fall down again like it's snowing."

At least, that was the idea, smiling as he watched Molly.

Molly took a deep breath and let the snow fall. She stopped the spell and her smile grew wide.

"That kicked ass."

"Yeah, it did," Jeremy said with a grin matching Mollly's. "You want to finish that snowman now?" This was actually, really, really fun.
