Playing in the snow - Open

Feb 02, 2013 13:30

After everything that had happened last weekend, it was nice to see the village covered in snow. It sort of made it like it was wiping it clean. The memories would never be wiped, but at least it helped. It also helped that it felt like home to Molly. This time of year in Chicago, they would have had a lot of snowfall ( Read more... )

Xas was at the farm tending to his grapevines and Jeremy had volunteered to pass by the bakery to get some of those tart cakes Gorgo was craving. He decided to pass through the park, walking down the path when he saw Molly - and the moving snow.

He watched, smiling when he realized she was the one moving it, and on instinct he canted his head and pushed the snow on the other side, meeting her growing pile halfway. He giggled softly, thinking that was funny.

Molly's head whipped up when more snow, that she hadn't moved came toward her pile. Her smile went wide when she saw who it was. "Hey you! At least you didn't dump it on me."

Jeremy grinned, giving a wave and then he continued walking toward Molly. "That would have been funny, too, but I don't think you'd appreciate a snowball fight without knowing there was a snowball fight."

"You don't have brothers or sisters do you?" Molly laughed, "but I appreciate the help and the no dumping of snow." She was also very happy to see that he survived last weekend.

"Want to help me make a snow man." Her smile turned to a grin. "Or would you rather have a magical snow fight. I have to warn you my shields are good enough to stop bullets and I have my veiling I can do." Not to mention her illusion magic.

"Building a snow man... or a fort?" Remy called from behind her, hands in his trenchcoat that was wrapped around himself. He wasn't much fan of the cold even before nearly freezing to death in it.

He smiled at Molly, he hadn't seen much of her since their last foray on the beach. Remy might have been a little distracted by a certain pixie who ran In&Out these days.

There was only one Cajun accent that she knew about so she wasn't really surprised to see Remy standing there. "A snow man." She said with a grin. "You know, I know a spell that can warm you up."

He laughed as he came closer, smile growing at her words, "Dat so? I'm sure you know several!"

Molly snickered, "well several ways but only a couple of spells." It was good to see him again. Sex or no, she enjoyed Remy's company.

Carlos did not enjoy the snow, not at his age. As a kid, it was a rarity to see it, given he lived in Los Angeles. Now it was just a pain in the ass.

However, he felt he had to go out and walk in it once before finding some beer and staying inside. He didn't count on seeing Molly there, and before he knew it, he'd made a snowball and was lobbing it at Molly.

She had no idea that it was coming until cold, wet splash hit the back of her neck and went down her collar and shirt. She yelped and spun around expecting to see Harry.

"Oh this is war now!"

Carlos had bent over, laughing at Molly and her response. "War? Sure, bring it on, Apprentice Carpenter!"

Molly smirked and vanished in a blink of an eye. She was smart enough not to take a step because no matter how much she veiled he would see her footprints in snow.

He couldn't see magic being cast, however and the branch of the tree above his head suddenly bowed enough to let snow tumble down on him. Sadly, it wasn't a lot of snow.
