Playing in the snow - Open

Feb 02, 2013 13:30

After everything that had happened last weekend, it was nice to see the village covered in snow. It sort of made it like it was wiping it clean. The memories would never be wiped, but at least it helped. It also helped that it felt like home to Molly. This time of year in Chicago, they would have had a lot of snowfall ( Read more... )

Xas was at the farm tending to his grapevines and Jeremy had volunteered to pass by the bakery to get some of those tart cakes Gorgo was craving. He decided to pass through the park, walking down the path when he saw Molly - and the moving snow.

He watched, smiling when he realized she was the one moving it, and on instinct he canted his head and pushed the snow on the other side, meeting her growing pile halfway. He giggled softly, thinking that was funny.

Molly's head whipped up when more snow, that she hadn't moved came toward her pile. Her smile went wide when she saw who it was. "Hey you! At least you didn't dump it on me."

Jeremy grinned, giving a wave and then he continued walking toward Molly. "That would have been funny, too, but I don't think you'd appreciate a snowball fight without knowing there was a snowball fight."

"You don't have brothers or sisters do you?" Molly laughed, "but I appreciate the help and the no dumping of snow." She was also very happy to see that he survived last weekend.

"Want to help me make a snow man." Her smile turned to a grin. "Or would you rather have a magical snow fight. I have to warn you my shields are good enough to stop bullets and I have my veiling I can do." Not to mention her illusion magic.

Jeremy laughed but it was soft, giggly. "No snowball fights but I'd like to make a snowman with you. I can't do shields like you could."

It was always nice to be with Molly, because they have similar abilities and it was good to be able to openly use his.

[ooc: I'm assuming they have been meeting since we did the last thread <3]

"Snowman it is. I'll save my snowball fights with Harry." She would with Carlos but he could manipulate water and that would be hard to work around.

"And don't feel bad about the shields. It took me a while to perfect."

ooc: Oh definitely. I see them meeting quite a few times since their first time.

"Maybe I'll ask Maximus if he wants to have a snowball fight." Xas might question what the purpose is of such a thing so he likely wouldn't ask him.

He grinned again. "So, how do we want to build our snowman?"

Molly laughed, "dude you have brass ones if you want to take on a gladiator, but I'm impressed."

She motioned toward the large pile that he'd helped her create, "first we mold it into a round shape then do another one slightly smaller to put on top."

Jeremy ducked his head and grinned. "It was a joke." He shook his head. "Maximus would glare at me and when the does that he looks very intimidating to others, but funny to us that know him now. He's a very kind and gentle man."

Looking at the mound of snow, Jeremy nodded. "Let's do the sides we started with and see if we can get it round." Which would be a challenge to do given their abilities were not exactly alike.

"So snow sculpture with magic?" Molly grinned, "you're on. I've never done it before but it would take a delicate hand." She was very, very good with delicate magic so this might not be a disaster waiting to happen.

If anyone liked to build delicate things, that would be Jeremy, too.

With a smile and a nod Molly's way, the began. He focused on the snow, how it felt, cold and powdery, like small but fragile grains of sand that me moved one by one until it was a mound that slowly formed into half a ball that met with the side that Molly was doing.

Jeremy couldn't stop grinning.

Molly focused her magic, using what she knew in how to navigate through a mind. Slowly the ball of snow took shape and matched, though not exactly Jeremy's.

"Hey, we make a pretty good team."

Jeremy thought so, too.

"Should we try the second one?"

This was fun. Fun he didn't expect to have while taking a walk toward the bakery.

Jeremy could feel the energy all around him, his own reacting to it, wanting more.

"How are you with levitation?" Because Molly sucked at it. "Can you move the snow to be on top of this one?"

Molly would see the way that Jeremy's face lit up in a smile. Then, he was sagely nodding his head.

"Do you want to see it?"

"Are you kidding? I'd love to see it." Molly nodded then made a little motion with her hands for him to show her.
