This town, no matter how long he would spend in it, would never truly be home for him. Steve had Hawaii in his heart, and that was something you couldn't easily take from someone, but in the end he tried to make his time here worth it. Working as a local police officer gave him a sense of purpose, something he had lost when he arrived here.

Once the man entered Ten Forward, Selene was there behind the bar and greeted him with a nod.

"Anything special?" She asked, remembering to be amicable, friendly, hearing the reminder in Doug's voice in the back of her mind. She even tried to smile, tips of her fangs slightly bared.

Steve peeled the sunglasses from his face when he entered, towel over his shoulder. Who was this? He quickly reminded himself that he needed to get out more often.

"Me and my..." What was Selina to him? "Girlfriend." He cleared his throat, having made the hasty decision to call his criminal crush his girlfriend. "Are having a date in O'ahu, Hawaii. That's where I'm from."

"Have either of you been on the holodeck before?" She asked, quite familiar with the islands of Hawaii if only geographically.

"I am assuming your girlfriend is meeting you here?" Selene pointed behind her. "Perhaps a drink while you wait?"

"I haven't, but I'm not exactly sure if she hasn't or not." He took a seat at the nearest stool, draping his towel over the stool next to him.

He nodded slowly in agreement. "Your best beer would be great."
