Gabriel was gone - it sort of sucked. On the one hand, the guy was family, and the sort who wasn't actually trying to either kill Aaron or get him to redeem them. On the other hand, Debra was gone, too. Of course, it wasn't a guarantee that the two of them ended up together, but Aaron wanted to believe it. Chuck was sad that Gabriel had left too, but then Chuck had the satisfaction of knowing he wasn't dead and was very much alive with Debra.

He was making his way out of the church just as Aaron finished his 'not-prayer'. Which... just might have been the reason He'd come outside.

He looked up at Aaron, seeing him on the tombstone, and made his way over.

"Hey." he gave a little awkward wave, "Doing okay?"

Chuck laughed a bit, "Yeah, right. Mysterious ways. Also known as slapping someone into the job that's completely unsuited for it."

"I know, right?" Aaron agreed. "It's probably some cosmic kids' ant farm or something, and they keep tapping on the glass or wiggling things to get us to do something interesting."
