Considerations [ota]

Jack wasn't sure what to make of that weekend. The change had been strange enough, the place suddenly turning into the wild west in space-- something he had to admit was right up his angle. Then he'd more or less poured his heart out on the table for Charles to see. He was never that open to anyone. It was unsettling really, that he allowed himself ( Read more... )

Charles had found himself leaving the hotel as well. He had no grading to distract himself, but as Erik was gaining a roommate, Charles just thought it might be safer to be away.

He'd seen Jack walking and found himself following, coming to stop a few feet back. "I promise," he said with a small smile. "I'm not stalking you." A term he'd learned from his students.

He turned his head to look at him, sipping at his coffee. Jack laughed, "That's what they all say..."

"I guess there's nothing I can do to prove otherwise, is there?" Charles chuckled. "Might I join you?"

"If you stopped following me, that might prove it." he pointed out, but smiled, "But that'd be a shame."

"Go right ahead, sit." he patted the ground next to him, as he turned his attentions back to the lake.

There are people I do expect to see by the lake and those I don't. Then again, the Jack Harkness I almost knew did not seem so introspective as this one currently appears. It's hard to judge if he would like company or not and of all the people I do not wish to use my Sight on, any Jack Harkness is one of them. It's intrusive and I feel as though the Opposite me has done enough to him.

I do smile slightly and nod in his direction. I'm curious but not going to pry if he'd rather be alone.

Slowtime is love.

Jack glanced up when he noticed he wasn't alone, seeing Faramir across from him

He nodded to him, sipping his coffee as he did, "Hello."

I nod again in return.

"Hello. You were looking thoughtful so I didn't want to bother you."

He shook his head, "Oh, no. It's fine, you weren't bothering. I was just thinking about what happened last weekend."

[OOC: Because Jack is fun and Ygraine will be O_O in an amusing way. And don't worry about slowtime :)]

Ygraine was incredibly glad now that Arthur was awake. Those few days where his fever from the large wound he had gained along with his head injury had kept him from being awake had been one of the most awful days she had ever experienced. But she didn't want to overcrowd him so chose to go a walk whilst his wife and those at the clinic took care of him. It would at least clear her mind.

And yet she couldn't get the image from her head of him lying there.

He noticed the woman as she walked past by the lake. Jack smiled giving her a friendly smile, pulled from his thoughts, "Good morning."

Ygraine had not expected someone to speak to her and when they did she glanced up quite quickly. She did not like to appear rude and was brought up in a way that enabled her to speak to anyone who wished to talk to her in a polite manner no matter the situation.

"Good morning to you also, Sir."

He grinned at her, turning to look at her more fully, holding out his hand as he took in her attire, "Captain Jack Harkness, and who are you?"

Lana was taking a walk by the park before heading back to the store. She smiled when she saw Jack. "Hi there."

Jack smiled back giving her a small wave, "Hello, Lana."

The lake was a much better place to meet someone than the cemetery.

It definitely was.

"It's nice to run into you again," she said with a smile. "How are you settling in?"

"So, so." he admitted, looking out on the water, "Still not quite sure what happened last weekend..."
