Marian couldn’t quite believe she only had four months left until the baby would be born. It didn’t seem to be such a short length of time, but given how fast the past five months had flown by she had a feeling the rest of the time would be the same. Though she also had a feeling the clinic would become sick of her, so she had to try and avoid that

Sam's face lit up with pleasure when he saw Marian there. She was very welcome. He didn't approach just yet. He continued with the arrangements he was making until she should indicate in some way that she'd welcome the approach.

He was glad to see that it seemed as though her marriage agreed with her.

Marian looked towards the roof of the building, taking a deep breath as her thoughts slowly turned to her father. He would never get the chance to see her as a mother and she so desperately wished he could. Just as Robin's parents would never see it. Even back home.

But then she heard the movement and her eyes fell on Father Sam. She hadn't noticed him when she came in, though she knew he'd be about somewhere. Brushing back the few fallen tears, she forced a smile in his direction.

Sam approached with gentle concern.

"You are looking well, my child, but not as happy as you deserve."

"Thank you," she replied to the compliment before looking down. "I am happy. For the most part."
