Ramona was hauling a case of longnecks from the back when Ruby came into the Eagle's Nest. She couldn't say she wasn't a little surprised to see her, since Ellen hadn't exactly made the bar demon friendly, but somehow, judging by the look on her face, Ramona got the sense that this wasn't exactly a friendly social call.
"Hey," she called casually, setting the case down behind the bar and glancing around to see where she'd set her box cutter down. "What's going on?"
"He's missing?" How the hell did someone go missing in a town the size of freakin' Mayberry?
She found the box cutter and picked it up, but didn't go back to the case right away. "I don't even know what the guy looks like to say if he's been here, you got a picture or anything?"

I was the first to notice her when she entered - but that's what Eric paid me for, after all. But Jager noticed her soon after I did, and sent a look and a thought my way.
A mostly unnecessary thought - I already knew who she was. Demon. Owner of the Inferno. Lover of Robert, owner of the Sin. But Jager had a little additional information, mostly gathered from his Grace [[River Tam]] when he visited her at the Inferno, about what sort of person she was. Usually, harmless and trustworthy. But tonight she looked like she might be looking for trouble. Probably related to the message she'd sent out. So I was keeping an eye on her. If someone here deserved her wrath, I'd have to intervene - but only to send them both outside. They could settle it there however they chose.
"I don't. What I do know is that you're flirting with the line and I'm being paid to stop altercations in this establishment." I answered. My tone was polite enough, but my eyes were a bit narrowed and my power was rising. I would do my best not to provoke her, but I'd told the truth. If she starting accosting people I was going to throw her out, demon or not. And if I could not on the strength of my own power, I could count on help from at least two others.
"Fliering with the line? By asking a question? Sorry if I'm not all 'excuse me, by your leave', but my fiancé is missing and could be dead. And my patience is running very thin. Trust me, if I start accosting people, you will most definitely know it."
Yes, she was in a bitchy mood, but in her mind she had every right and she really wasn't in the mood to pretend to be nice.
Gabriel was exiting the candy shop, leaving it in Aaron's capable hands when he nearly ran into Ruby. He pulled a face, then noticed her scowl, "Who shit in your cereal?"
Gabriel stared back at her with a sneer, "You gotta work on your sales pitch, demon. Now if you excuse me there's about 30 bottles of whiskey with my name on them..."
Ruby was being tailed by a stray cat. This cat was not the goddess, but as a cat he'd heeded his Lady's request, and she would be able to hear through his ears and see through his eyes if she needed to.
He wasn't sure about that. He was a stray, after all. But his Lady insisted he show the woman affection, so he hesitantly sniffed the demon-woman's hand, and then let her pet him.

"And if anyone here had anything to do with it, or knows anything about it, I want to know now."
Her eyes had been black since she came in, the demon just below the surface, ready to bubble over at any moment.

She shrugged, a sneer on her face.
"No picture. He's Sam's height, well built, dark hair and blue eyes. Has a sort of Irish accent."

"If you know where Robert is, or what's happened to him, tell me now."
Her eyes were solid black, she was making no attempt to control the demon within.

"Do you know where he is? Did you do something to him? Did Lucifer?"

Her look of mild disdain for the woman who walked in wasn't unusual, either. It was appalling what passed for a demon in other worlds.
(Sadly, conversation-starting was not her strong suit!)

"I'm looking for a man. About 6'4, well built, dark hair, blue eyes, sort of a Celtic accent. Have you seen him?"

"I have not. He is a human, I presume?"

She knelt down and held out her hand to it, letting it decide if it wanted her to pet it.
