In the Wafflehouse [OTA]

Tiana had become convinced that the reason that she was in Haurvatat was to make as much money as possible so that when she returned she could give it to the bankers. Why else would she be plucked out of the party just when she learned that someone else had put a bid on her place? It made sense. So, she worked as much as she had in New Orleans. She ( Read more... )

Maybe it was because she'd been spending too much time with Walter Bishop or maybe it was because Olivia thought that waffles for lunch would hit the spot. Either reason would explain the reason for her appearance in the waffle house. She paused in the entryway and inhaled deeply the aroma that was coming from the kitchen. It smelled delicious.

Bypassing the booths and tables, Olivia made her way to the counter and smiled at the woman standing there. "Hello."

"Hello there." Tiana smiled at her and set her mug of coffee down. "Welcome to the Waffle Place, can I get you a cup of coffee while you look over the menu?"

"Coffee would be great, thanks." Olivia nodded. "It smells delicious." She pulled a menu out and gazed through it.

Tiana poured her a mug and placed it in front of her, as well as a creamer and sugar. "Here you are. I wasn't sure how you take it. I also have some with chicory or cinnamon if you want something a bit different."

Jack still hadn't completely reconciled himself to his existence in this quaint little village, but it was better than admitting he had, apparently, become delusional. And either way, it made more sense to play along than not.

He also wasn't overly pleased about having to share a room with David so when he'd discovered one of his coats -- nevermind how it had gotten there, he wasn't about to ask -- in the room's closet, he took it as as good a reason as any to go for a walkabout of the place. The Wafflehouse wasn't really his sort of establishment, but he came upon it at about the same time he realized he was hungry.

Hence, cue one dispossessed prince entering and finding himself a seat.

Tiana smiled at the new customer. "Hello and welcome." She gestured over toward the coffee pots. "Can I get you something to drink? I have regular coffee and an experiment with chicory if you'd like to try that."

Jack returned the smile, though it was his public, polite smile he offered. He had absolutely no idea what chicory was, but then...it wouldn't be the first time he'd tried something new with no knowledge aforethought.

So his smile grew warmer and he nodded, "something to drink would be wonderful and I'm just fine with trying an experiment."

Tiana crossed over to where the coffee pots were and picked up the one that she'd mixed in some chicory. She poured a mug for him and set it in front of him. "If you don't like it, just say so, and I'll get you a regular one. I was experimenting with flavors." She smiled, "I haven't seen you here before. Is this your first time?"

While she didn't work 24/7 at the Waffle House, Tiana did spend a lot of time there.

Castiel walked into the wafflehouse. He had no need to be in there, but he wanted something familiar. After being at many diners with Dean and Sam in the past, he figured this could be the closest thing.

He sat at a booth quietly, folding his hands on the table. Castiel figured this would be a nice place to sit and meditate as he shut his eyes.

Tiana approached the booth with a pot of coffee in her hands to offer to the newcomer but when she saw his closed eyes she didn't want to intrude. Instead, she grabbed a mug nearby and poured him a cup and softly set it down in front of him so as not to disturb him.

He opened an eye when he could sense someone's presence by him. "Hello," Castiel said calmly to the woman.

Tiana smiled sheepishly, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you."
