The holidays had come and gone, an interesting experience truly. He'd gotten into the spirit and gotten a gift for his cousin, a wheatfish that the other man could take home to his son. Andrej may not understand the importance of it but Stanoczk knew, knew it would mean something eventually.
Stildyne had told him he required no gifts, instead he'd exacted a promise that Stanoczk wouldn't turn down his gift and the blonde had agreed. How could he not. The holiday itself holding no meaning to the Malcontent he was willing to wait until after the season when the chief was not so busy so he still didn't know what the gift was. He was curious, there was little that the Malcontent could not discover but this was a secret well kept.
The others on his list, those who had come to him on occassion John, Faramir, even Matt who he'd seen just the once, among them had recieved a simple card, and were given slippers and a robe for them alone at the center.
The new year had come and gone Stanoczk, unfamiliar with the calendar, had realized that it was significant but had not had a celebration to attend. Instead the evening had passed quietly in meditation like any evening he spent alone.
He was curious what the new year in this unfamiliar place would bring, curled up with a flask of steaming rhyti and a book he waited for the first visitor of the new year.
